PLAYERS REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The deadline for payment of player
registrations & submission of registration sheets is Friday 1 June 2012.
Failure to do so by this date WILL result in your club losing ALL
points for matches played since the commencement of the 2012 season, and that is
all teams in your club across all divisions, and the opposing teams that you
played will be awarded 6-0 wins.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE
In the recently distributed rulebooks, the second last page has a section titled
"Procedure for writing names on scoreboard". This section is NOT
the current procedure for writing names on the board and should be
disregarded in it's entirety.
As soon as the current procedure is documented, it will be forwarded to all
clubs, posted one the GEBA website, and incorporated into the 2013 rulebooks.

Welcome to the 2012 GEBA season!
Firstly, a huge welcome to our newest committee members - Johl Younger (Slate)
and Shane Leonard (Western).
Shane will be assisting with maintaining the website, and he has undertaken the
task of processing submitted scorecards. After discussions with Shane, GEBA will
be trialing a new method of recording the results, so the appearance of the
ladder and leading player lists (when posted) will appear slightly different.
Shane advises that the new printable ladder will be in a different format as
well, using Adobe PDF files. More comprehensive statistics will be recorded, and
Shane and I are currently looking into a few new features to include on the
ladder page. You will all be advised if this goes live!
A huge thanks to our sponsors from the 2011 season! Our new scoreboards look
GREAT! You should all be proud to be associated with the Geelong Eight Ball
Association. However as you can see, our sponsors logos are not on the GEBA
website. Repeated efforts have been made to obtain these, and once available
will be included immediately.
Discussions are underway into the possibility that the GEBA presentation
day/night will also take on a new look. At this stage there are no details about
the presentation day, but rest assured that when tickets go on sale on 1 July
2012 we look forward to debuting something new so as to avoid another
cancellation.
In the age of technology and social networking, please be aware that the ONLY
place online to get official GEBA news is right here on the GEBA website.
Speculation and discussion on non-GEBA pages, forums and networks is encouraged,
but bear in mind that until GEBA announces news or changes, it remains
UN-official.
We encourage all members to forward their email addresses to so you can receive
all GEBA information immediately. Paper copies will still be sent with the same
information, but we all know that some of these do not reach all players. We
hope that in creating email lists will reach a wider audience than before.
